We know these aren't cheap. But there's a few very good reasons for that.
At the heart of our work is a constant commitment to improving our products. We recognise that some watches just need that special touch that you cannot get from a mass produced item.
This Lined Watch Strap is constructed from three carefully selected layers:
1) A luxurious full leather outer layer, usually Premium Italian full grain hides
2) A Salpa leather anti-stretch core to maintain shape and strength
3) A Hass Zermatt inner layer that is hypoallergenic, waterproof and soft against the skin, this is a leather designed SPECIFICALLY for lining watch straps. You will not find this on mass produced straps
To complete the strap, the entire perimeter is hand-stitched using a traditional saddle stitch. This requires the stitches to be punched by hand before being stitched with a needle and thread... by hand.
Unlike machine stitching, this method ensures that if a stitch wears or breaks, it will not unravel. Should the thread fray over time, the ends can simply be melted (Or Glued, Thread material dependant) and pressed flat into the existing stitch holes.
